Lake Como villas and gardens worth a visit!
After a quite long stop for the “low” winter season, usually from November till March, all the visitable villas and gardens on Lake Como will re-open in April.
On Lake Como the season usually goes from Easter till the end of October and in these months many are the buildings and gardens that worth a visit.
In Bellagio we have Villa Serbelloni on top of the promontory, visitable just with a prebooked guided tour. And Villa Melzi, located by the lake between the center and Loppia hamlet.
Centre Lake area is the most famous for the greatest villas to visit: Villa Monastero, Villa Carlotta and its garden, Villa Balbianello.
Lake Como is surrounded by some of Italy’s most beautiful gardens. Lush foliage and brilliant flowers frame views across the lake. The shore rises steeply, so gardens cascade above the water, and descend in terraces decorated by statues and fountains.
