What to visit in a day

If you are going to spend just one day in Bellagio, many are the things you can visit with a walk. Either you have a car or not, you can sightseeing and enjoy the beauty of our village. Here we want to suggest you some ideas to plan your day in the Pearl of Lake Como. Bellagio is the perfect spot where to spend a day outside surrounding by nature.

Along the shores

A great way to visit Bellagio would be to have a walk all along the shores of the village. If you are arriving by car or by boat you could start your tour from San Giovanni hamlet. In 1o minutes you will reach the hamlet of Loppia where you can enter into the Villa Melzi garden. You will arrive on the walk along the lake of Bellagio center, where many are the stairways to visit with little and typical shops. Then you could walk till Pescallo hamlet, taking the little stairs just in front of the Municipality. After Pescallo bay reach again the main street and walk till the “vialone”, a long green walk that will take you again on the lake side of San Giovanni.

Up on the mountains

Another great idea to spend a day outside in Bellagio would be to have a walk up on the San Primo mountain. The top part of Bellagio will give you an amazing view on the whole lake and even more. This uphill walk will be a bit tiring but once on the top you will be more then  repaid. You can reach the hamlet of San Primo by car, you will find a big car parking at the beginning of the walk and then your excursion can start! We suggest you to bring food to have a snack once on the top or to book a table at the restaurant “Rifugio Martina“.
